In my final year of my BFA, I created a series of three pieces marketed toward the adult animation/adult humor market. For inspiration I looked to shows like Big Mouth and Bojack Horseman as well as humorous greeting cards.
For this piece I was inspired by a fish eye picture taken of a friend while playing a dice game. I used this picture as a reference, creating amphibious creatures and an environment using elements of a pond or swamp. I wanted to focus on the exaggerated perspective as well as the characters' facial expressions to make the audience feel the anticipatory energy in the room.
