Korey Hans is a designer and illustrator from Utica, New York, currently pursuing an MFA in Visual Communication Design (VCD) at Rochester Institute of Technology. With a BFA in Illustration from the same institution, she combines strong compositional skills, bright colors, and out-of-the-box thinking to create engaging designs.
Throughout her career, Hans has worked on a range of exciting projects, contributing to the campus community. She has collaborated with fellow illustrators on designing and executing a mural on the walls of the elevator in RIT’s College of Liberal Arts, offering occupants an enjoyable visual experience. Hans has also worked on a team of Visual Communication and New Media designers to explore the intersection of humanity and AI through an interactive display at RIT’s Creative Collision event.
In addition to collaborative projects, Hans is passionate about graphic design for sports. She practices photography, sometimes using her own photos in her designs and experimenting with a wide range of styles while considering current trends and brand identity. Hans also implements motion design, using video in conjunction with graphics to promote athletes and teams. She has done freelance work and has notably been the graphic designer and social media content creator for the RIT Varsity Swim and Dive teams.
With the desire to elevate community experiences, Korey Hans aspires to use her bright and bold style to engage viewers in fun and refreshing ways. Her goal is to work on package design, brand identity, or sports design, bringing joy to consumers, users, and fans.
