Assignment: Create two animated sequences based on two selected quotes, using motion design and animation principles to bring the text to life. The first quote was chosen from a provided list, and the second was selected independently. Key considerations included typeface, size, weight, tone, color, opacity, and movement. Additional focus was given to animation principles such as entrance, performance, exit, pacing, transition, and transformation. Concepts were developed through storyboarding, which were then refined in Illustrator before execution.
Approach: I began by storyboarding each sequence to plan the transitions, movement, and timing of the type. For each quote, I carefully selected typefaces and color schemes that would reinforce the tone and meaning. I then executed the storyboards in Adobe After Effects, applying animation principles like easing, scale, and opacity to create dynamic movements that aligned with the emotional weight of the quotes. Attention was paid to pacing and the smooth transition of elements to ensure the animation felt cohesive and engaging.
Result: The final outcome consists of two animated quotes, each designed to amplify the message and emotional impact through thoughtful use of motion, type, and color. The animations not only highlight the meaning of the quotes but also engage the viewer through dynamic and intentional movement.
